Community Profile

The promise of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to discover cures. To meet this promise, Komen Affiliates conduct a detailed community needs assessment every two years to determine existing gaps in local breast health and breast cancer services. The Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast Affiliate relies on information obtained through the community profile process to guide them in work that must be accomplished within the community. This document should be used as a framework for identifying service gaps in our community’s breast health and cancer needs. This document also contains information on the state of breast cancer at the local level.
