Fit for the Cure® hosted by Wacoal
October 2011

In 2011, Wacoal will host Fit for the Cure® events to help women across the country find their perfect fit. For every woman fitted at a Fit for the Cure® event Wacoal will donate $2 to Komen for the Cure. No purchase is necessary. Wacoal will also donate $2 for every Wacoal bra or shapewear item or b.tempt’d bra purchased at these events. Visit FitfortheCure.com for more information.

Yoplait's Save Lids, Save Lives
September - December 31st, 2011

Komen NC Triangle thanks Yoplait and its Save Lids to Save Lids Program

With funds raised through Yoplait’s Save Lids to Save Lives, the fight against breast cancer starts right next door. Yoplait will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® for each pink lid redeemed online at Yoplait.com and via mail by December 31, 2011, up to $2 million. This year, Komen NC Triangle supporters can impact efforts to help women in our community fighting breast cancer, because Yoplait is tracking the zip codes from lids redeemed to make sure dollars generated through local lid collection go back to local breast cancer programs in our community. 9th Annual Adrian Carroll HBCU/High School Battle Of The Bands
Sunday, October 16th, 2011 | 3:00pm
North Carolina Central University, Durham NC

Don't miss this historical Battle Of The Bands event.  All the way from Atlanta,GA. The largest high school High Stepping Marching Band in the U.S.  Southwest DeKalb Marching Panthers. they were the marching band in the smash hit movie "Drumline". With over 300 members.

Also perfroming live: North Carolina Central University, Howard University, and Winston-Salem State University Marching Band.  This year will again showcase the long time rivalry, for bragging rights, between Hillside High and Southern Durham High School Marching Band.

Additional great high school bands featured will be South Gwinnett High School and Shiloh High from GA, Highland Springs from VA, Phillip O. Berry Academy, N.W. Halifax, Warren County High School, Dillon High School, Keenan High, C.E. Murray High School Marching Band and a host of others from DC and MD.

A Girl’s Night Out To Benefit Breast Cancer

Hockey Fights Cancer

Join us for Hockey Fights Cancer night on Tues., October 25th. Not only will the Hurricanes donate a portion of every ticket sale sold through the Komen portal on the Hurricanes website, the group that raises the most money for its organization through the ticket fundraising will be awarded a $3,000 grant from the NHL.
