Caring Community Foundation Inc, “Pay It Forward” work with social workers and oncologist in service area to identify patients struggling with financial challenges while undergoing cancer treatment. They provide financial assistance to uninsured and under-insured women undergoing breast cancer treatment in counties the affiliate serves. Caswell Family Medical Center, “Mobile Screening Mammography Services for Caswell County” program will increase access to and awareness of screening mammography for under/uninsured residents of Caswell County and the surrounding service area. Community Health Coalition, “Sisterhood Project Phase IV” address breast health needs in Durham County through education, screening, transportation, mobile mammography, appointments during non-traditional hours, and emotional support. Duke University “Bridging the Gap: A partnership for Breast Cancer Screening” program provide free clinic services and breast MRIs for high risk women in 10 counties.

El Pueblo, “Comunidad Sana” program provide one-on-one and group educational sessions through the use of Spanish language media. They also provide patient navigation for screening, diagnostic, treatment, and support services for recent immigrants, low-income, and uninsured and underinsured Latinas in 16 counties. Johnston County Health Department, “Breast Screening, Education, and Cancer Assistance Program” program provide screening, education, and outreach through the health department to under/uninsured minority women in the community. Lincoln Community Health Center, “Mammograms for Low-Income Uninsured Women and Men” provide outreach, mammography and diagnostic mammography services to registered Lincoln patients. Nash County Health Department, “Mammograms for Life!” provide culturally appropriate outreach through community and faith based partnerships. Piedmont Health Services Inc, “Project Access-Chatham” a breast cancer screening initiative that provides breast cancer education, clinical breast exams, mammography, and patient navigation for underserved women in Chatham County. The program also provides follow-up and referral services to patients in need as well as culturally appropriate outreach to the Latina community. Piedmont Health Services Inc, “Project Access –Orange and Caswell” a breast cancer screening initiative that provides culturally appropriate (Spanish and Karen Myanmar) breast cancer education, clinical breast exams, mammography, and patient navigation for underserved women in Caswell and Orange County. The program also provides follow-up and referral services to patients in need as well as in-kind outreach services to the migrant seasonal population. UNC-Chapel Hill, “Get Real and HEEL- An Aftercare Breast Cancer Program to Improve Quality of Life” a 5 month program that provides prescriptive exercise and physical therapy to women who have completed chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery within 6 months. Wake County Human Services, “Educate our Women (EOW)” provides screening, outreach/diagnostics services for under/uninsured women in Wake County. They also facilitate a Latina Breast Cancer Support group and provide culturally appropriate materials to the Latina population in Wake County.
