Overview

The vision of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a world without breast cancer. Komen Affiliates represent one of the nation’s largest private funding sources for breast health and breast cancer education, treatment support, screening and post-diagnosis programs. In an effort to maximize these programs, the KAY grant will focus resources on the minimization of logistical barriers that keep women from getting to the services they need.

The NC Triangle Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, solicits grant proposals for effective and efficient access programs targeting services not otherwise available to medically underserved populations of the Affiliate service area: Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Harnett, Johnston, Nash, Orange, Person, Vance and Wake Counties in North Carolina. Access is defined as anything that is logistically necessary to get a client to their medical service(s). Medical Service is defined as screening, treatment, treatment support and/or medically related survivorship needs.
