The Komen NC Triangle Affiliate is pleased to partner with Duke Medicine to provide this free grant writing workshop to all our potential grantees. This workshop will cover the important elements of our Request for Applications, resources for your grant writing, and overviews of evaluation methods and evidence based programs and strategies. We look forward to seeing you there!

Important information for Workshop Attendees, please read carefully:

• Pre-registration is required via Grant Workshop Pre-Registration
• Registration and breakfast begin at 8:30AM with the program beginning at 9AM.
• Please be sure to respond with the names of your two representatives who will attend this event. Space is limited and currently only two per organization are allowed to register.
• If you have previously contacted us about your attendance, you must still RSVP via Grant Workshop Pre-Registration
• You must download and bring a copy of the RFA, Community Profile, and County Profiles of the area you wish to serve to the workshop.
• We would like to distribute your contact information to other participants.  Please respond and give your permission to do so.  

Workshop Location: Searle Center at Duke University, Searle Center Drive Durham, NC 27710. Please park in the hospital deck North. You will receive a parking pass at the workshop. Detailed parking directions follow in this document.

Directions to Searle Center:

From Greensboro and Points West

Via 1-85 North: Exit onto NC 147 (Durham Freeway).
Take second exit (#15B) off Durham Freeway.
Turn Right onto Fulton St. South.

Duke Hospital Parking:
Turn left at the first light onto Elba St.
Turn right into Duke Hospital Parking Lot.

From Richmond and Points North

Via I-85 South: In Durham, take the "Hillandale Rd." exit (#174A)
Turn left onto Hillandale Rd.
At the 4th Light "Hillandale Rd." becomes "Fulton St".
Keep going straight under NC 147.

Duke Hospital Parking:
Turn left at the first light onto Elba St.
Turn right into Duke Hospital Parking Lot.

From RDU Airport, Raleigh and Points East

Via I-40 West: Exit onto the Durham Freeway (N.C. 147).
Take Durham Freeway to Fulton Street exit (#15B).
Turn left onto Fulton Street.

Duke Hospital Parking:
Turn left at the first light onto Elba St.
Turn right into Duke Hospital Parking Lot.

From Chapel Hill

Via U.S. 15-501: North. Take 15-501 N. marked Duke Univ./Med Ctr. Do not take 15-501 Business.
Take N.C. 147 "Durham Freeway" exit (#108) South.
Take Durham Freeway to Fulton Street exit (#15B).
Turn left onto Fulton Street.

Duke Hospital Parking:
Turn left at the first light onto Elba St.
Turn right into Duke Hospital Parking Lot.

From the parking deck, you will cross Erwin Road. You may do so by taking the underground walkway or by crossing the road itself, which should be done carefully. If you take the underground walkway, you will come to a bank of elevators. Take an elevator to the first floor and you will be in the main lobby. If you cross Erwin Road, go in the front doors of the hospital and through the lobby toward the bank of elevators. Follow the hallway on the right of the elevators (left if you are coming off the elevators) straight. There will be display cases on your left and windows looking out on your right. At the end of that hall, you can either turn left and continue down another hall or go through doors on the right and go outside onto a walkway. Take the walkway. There will be a building ahead on the right (Seeley Mudd Library). Go in this building (through the first and second doors) and to the elevator. Take the elevator down to the Searle Center level. For the Lecture Hall, turn left after you exit the elevator, then turn left again when the hallway splits. The Lecture Hall is on your right. For Room E, turn left when you exit the elevator and continue straight. Room E is the last room on the right. Look for the Komen signs.
