From our first Komen NC Triangle Race for the Cure in 1997, through incorporation of the NC Triangle Affiliate in 2000, we had a service area of 53 counties. In 2000, the service area was reduced to 13 counties in order to maximize the quality of support the all-volunteer Affiliate could provide.
