TEAM FUNDRAISING IDEAS

Not on a team? With a little creativity and an open mind all of these tips can be applied to help with individual fundraising.

1. Make the 2010 CHALLENGE your goal by committing to ask 20 people for $10.  A gift of $200.00 could help save a life by paying for 2 uninsured women to get mammograms.

2. Offer incentives that are unique and something your team members may not necessarily get for themselves : gift certificate for cooking classes or a  massage, tickets to a concert or sporting event

3. Use personal skills/services: dog walking, photography, landscaping, housekeeping, skating lessons and the list goes on and on, in lieu of payment you can ask that a donation be made to your Race team.

4. Change jars at the office, church, school

5. Have a bake off:  people make a $2.00 donation to vote for their favorite treat

6. Host a Pink bowling night: ask a local bowling alley to donate a night and host a fundraiser with the money raised going toward your team goal.

7. Dress-down day: Check with the HR department where you work and to see if for every $10 donation to your team people can dress down for the day

8. Add a link to your team/personal page to your electronic signature

9. Challenge your team members each week until race day and be knowledgeable about the cause and where the money goes.
