Teams

We want 25,000 participants at the 2010 Race, so start recruiting your team now! We plan to raise $2,000,000.00 with this event and we need your help to reach our goal!

What is a Team?

• A team is any group of 10 people or more who want to participate in the Race as a group.
• This group may consist of friends, family, co-workers, church and civic groups, schools, children or any combination thereof.
• Team members do not have to participate in the same event.
• A team can have participants in the same event or a combination of events (5K, 10K, 1 mile, sleep in, etc.).
• There is no limit to the number of members you can have on your team.
• Being part of a team is fun!

How do I organize a team?

• Create a team online.
• Visit the Race for the Cure REGISTRATION PAGE.
• Once your team is created recruit team members, encourage your team members to fundraise, compete in the team competitions and have a great time at the Race.

Team Registration Payments
Companies wishing to pay for all or a portion of their employees' team registration fees will need to obtain a team code prior to team members registering as part of the team. To request a team code, email us at info@komennctriangle.org.

Team Deadlines
Team online registration deadline is midnight May 17, 2010 for individuals that want their Race packet to be picked up by the Team Captain. An individual can still register online until midnight June 10, 2010 and pick up their Race packet at any of the 5 packet pickup locations. Their registration will still count towards the team’s totals for the team competition.

Team T-shirts
Design a t-shirt to show your team spirit! Each team will have the opportunity to create a “special” t-shirt for their team. All shirts will be displayed on Race day. T-shirts must be submitted by 9:00am on Race Day. The winner will be announced at the Survivor Celebration Ceremony and will be on our website.  Get the Official Teams T-shirt Insignias to add to your t-shirt!!! Click here for more information.
