The Komen NC Triangle Race for the Cure® is the largest foot-race in North Carolina, attracting 22,000 walkers and runners in 2007. Now in its 12th year, this event has raised more than $7 million to support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs.

New for 2008

We have lots of exciting new announcements for this year’s Race! Check back soon for more details!

  • New Location for the START Line: To help ease congestion at the start line we will be moving the start to Hillsborough Street close to the intersection with Gorman. The finish line will still be on the Meredith Campus, as will the Race festivities and sponsor tents. This shift will result in a minor change to the Race route.

  • New Survivor Schedule: Since many survivors are in treatment when they attend the Race, we have worked to schedule the survivor photo and recognition events closer to one another to minimize time in the sun.
